Copper Center is located along Alaska’s Richardson Highway corridor, with access to both the Old Richardson Highway and the main Richardson Highway nearby. The Edgerton Highway is about 18 miles to the south, and the Glenn Highway is roughly 12 miles away—making it a convenient base for exploring the Copper River Valley.
King For A Day Campground sits right on the banks of the Klutina River, offering one of the most accessible and productive fishing locations in the region.
The Klutina River offers something many Alaska rivers don’t have, easy road access to quality fishing without sacrificing the wilderness experience. While other anglers head to crowded spots on the Kenai, you’ll find bigger King Salmon and strong Sockeye runs on a river that sees far less pressure.
