Booking & Logistics

How do I book a charter or campsite?

You can book online through our reservations page or call us at 907-822-3092. Charters must be booked at least 24 hours in advance. Campsites and cabins require a non-refundable first-night deposit.

For campsites and cabins, we require at least 2 weeks’ notice for cancellations. A 40% processing fee applies to days cancelled within 2 weeks. For charters, changes or cancellations must be made before April 1st of the booked year to receive your deposit in full.

As far ahead as possible, especially for king salmon season (July through August). Popular campsite spots and cabin dates fill up months in advance.

The Fishing

Do I need a fishing license?

Yes. All guests retaining fish must have a valid Alaska fishing license purchased before your trip. No exceptions. You can buy one online through the Alaska Department of Fish and Game.

King salmon run on the Gulkana River June 1 through July 16 and on the Klutina River July 1 through August 10. Sockeye run June through September. Dolly varden, grayling, and rainbow trout are available May through September.

Not at all. Our guides work with complete beginners through experienced anglers. We offer hands-on instruction on every charter, plus dedicated flossing lessons and in-depth fishing clinics for anyone who wants to learn.

Rods, tackle, flies, waders, bait, and life vests. You bring lunch, water, rain gear, and layers. Limit one bag per person. You’re welcome to bring your own waders and rods if you prefer. Lunch can be arranges for an additional fee

The Campground

Are dogs allowed?

Yes. Dogs are welcome at the campground as long as they’re leashed and cleaned up after. In cabins, there’s a $50 non-refundable pet deposit ($25 each additional pet). No pets allowed in Coach Cabin.

Yes. Hot showers are included with every stay. Laundry is coin-operated. Free RV sani-dump is available to all guests.

Check in 1pm Check out 11am

Yes. The Klutina River runs right through the property and many sites are steps from the water. You can fish from the bank anytime with a valid Alaska fishing license.
