Not every trip on the Klutina has to involve a fishing rod. Our scenic float takes you down the same stretch of river our fishing charters run, but your hands are free for cameras instead of rods.
Start with an ATV ride up the Klutina Lake road, then float back down through glacier-carved canyon walls, towering spruce forests, and some of the best wildlife viewing in the Copper River Valley. Eagles overhead. Dall sheep on the cliffsides. Moose along the banks. And depending on the time of year, you might spot bears fishing the same runs our clients hit.
This is a guide-controlled raft trip down the Klutina River. Your guide does the rowing while you take in the views. The river features Class 1-4 with 14mph waters with some fun whitewater sections, exciting but accessible for all comfort levels. The float ends right on the banks of King For A Day Campground.
